– Unless you’ve been living under a rock these past few days, much of the Northeast has been in the destruction path of Hurricane Sandy. The storm has flooded and destroyed a lot of the Northeast and left many without power. This is an article which lists the top 10 shared terms on Facebook during the storm. – Today Disney has purchased Lucasfilm for $4.05 billion dollars. This acquisition by Disney will lead to a new “Star Wars” movie in 2015. (via cNet)

– Verizon Wireless’ version of the HTC Windows Phone 8X will have an interesting advantage over its AT&T counter part. The phone (for Verizon only) will offer wireless charging. (via cNet)

– Windows 8, the newest version of Microsoft’s operating system was launched last week and it is doing fantastic in sales. Microsoft has sold 4 million updates in 4 days. (via Mashable)

– A recent study has shown a link between Facebook, weight gain and credit card debt. Apparently, keeping watch of your good friends’ activities on social media correlates to a higher body-mass index and higher levels of credit card debt. These close connections increase your self-esteem, thereby allowing you to let your guard down and temporarily lose self control. (via Yahoo! News)
