Caught Red Faced’d
A Texas man was arrested on Monday for allegedly burglarizing a home and stealing roughly $87 dollars worth of cash. Police also said he ate a can of ravioli during the robbery. When the authorities caught up with the man, he had tomato sauce all over his face, which led to his arrest. He is currently in a Texas jail on $10,000 bond. This brings new meaning to the term “caught red handed”. (via Huffington Post)
Sandy Throws Us A Bone
The devastating and powerful winds of Hurricane Sandy blew through the Northeast earlier this week. She caused major destruction by knocking out power, trees and flooding houses and city streets. In Connecticut, Sandy’s fierce winds uprooted a 103 year old oak tree and what residents found hidden under the tree was a shocking discovery. They had found the remains of a 200 year old skeleton. Police say the remains belonged to someone that had died of yellow fever or smallpox. (via Yahoo! News)
Midwestern Batman?
A Michigan man pleaded not guilty to charges of obstructing the police while dressed as Batman. According to reports, the man (dressed as the caped crusader) would not leave officers alone while they searched for a driver who had fled the scene of the accident. However, this is not the first time the man has been arrested for dressing as Batman. Last year he received 6 months probation for getting caught on the roof of a local business. (via Miami Herald)
