  5. Technology Tuesday: Is Apple Looking To Use 3D Technology?

    Apple is in early negotiations to buy Israel-based PrimeSense, a developer of chips that enable three-dimensional machine vision, for $280 million, the Calcalist new website said on Tuesday.  A delegation of Apple engineering executives visited PrimeSense in early July, Calcalist said.     Superstar free-agent center Dwight Howard spurned the Los Angeles Lakers and informed Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey that he plans to sign a four-year, $88 million contract with the Rockets. Howard’s contract with the Rockets can’t officially be signed until Wednesday.
